Bore Clean-outs
Bore Cleaning And Maintenance
If you have a borehole on your property, problems can arise over time if it is not properly cleaned or maintained.
Most commonly, a bore may need to be cleaned out due to incurring contamination due to factors such as flooding, dirt, vermin, and snakes, which can all affect the water quality and flow. Some old bores will be affected by silt that has simply built up over the years.
Mineral deposition can also happen, sometimes even in new bores. Minerals are naturally occurring in water, however especially high concentrations of certain minerals in a bore can lead to a build-up that can either physically obstruct the water flow, or potentially corrode or calcify components of its infrastructure.
If your property has been flooded it is highly likely your bore could need a clean-out

You may need significant maintenance to get the best performance out of your water well.
If you’re having trouble getting water out of your bore, it could be due to a number of factors; a blockage, material intrusion, or growth on your screens that can clog your borehole.
Cross Country Drilling can inject high-pressure air into the bore which can remove obstructions, or give an indication of water flow down the bore if the pump is faulty and further maintenance/ repairs are required.
Having regular water tests will ensure your water quality is suitable to continue using and having a routine bore clean out is also a wise thing to do.
